Milam & Greene Port Cask Finished Rye Whiskey

Milam & Greene Port Finished Rye is a sourced whiskey produced by the Blanco, Texas-based Milam & Greene brand. The whiskey is distilled in Indiana at MGP, from a mash of 95% rye and 5% barley, before being brought to Milam & Greene’s facility where it is batched and finished in Portuguese port wine casks.

The nose is subtle and gives off notes of a distant pine forest and mulled wine. On the palate, there is buttery cinnamon, vanilla, dark chocolate, and a bit of spice on the finish. Bottled at 47% ABV.
